Change Bluetooth Bee Device Name and Password

Bluetooth Bee is one of our most popular wireless modules and is widely used in our Bluetooth relay and Lazybone series wireless switches. Many customers want to change the default Bluetooth password, but in the past this was not an easy task. It required sending AT commands, which could be difficult for users without an engineering background.

To make this process simple, we’ve released an easy-to-use Bluetooth Bee Setting Tool. With this tool, you can quickly change the Bluetooth device name and password—no technical expertise required.

Easy Setup in 6 Simple Steps

Prepare a USB adapter and plug your Bluetooth Bee module into it.
Set the Bluetooth Bee setting switch to the ON position, then connect the USB adapter to your computer.
Install the FT232RL driver. A new COM port will appear in Device Manager.
Open TinySine BluetoothBee Setting Tool.exe, select the correct COM port, and the “Read Info” button will become active.
Click “Read Info” to retrieve the current module information.
Enter the new Bluetooth name or password and click “Write”. Done!

After completing the setup, close the program and set the module’s setting switch to OFF. When you reconnect to the BluetoothBee module using your smartphone or computer, the updated name and password will already be applied.
