Description
THIS IS A CUSTOM PRODUCT.
USE STRICTLY 5V 4A(FOR TIMER) AND 5V 6A or 5V 8A (FOR CATEGORIES AND LAPS) POWER SUPPLIES. IF YOU USE DC BARREL SPLITTER, YOU CAN USE SINGLE 5V 10A POWER ADAPTER FOR BOTH CATEGORIES AND LAPS.
USE A SEPARATE POWER SUPPLY FOR THE TIMER.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Build Digital timer first, test it and confirm that it works
- Build Categories section, test it and confirm that it works
- Build Laps section test it and confirm that it works
- Use separate power supplies for each of these modules or use DC barrel splitter to power categories and laps sections.
STEP 1: BUILD DIGITAL TIMER
You will need these parts:
- 2 x P10-32x16 Outdoor Dot matrix display
- 1 x SCOREDUINO MODULE
- 1 x Bluetooth module
- Power cables
- 1 piece 16x2 IDC cable- 40cm long
- 1 piece 16x2 IDC cable- 10cm long
- 5V 4A AC to DC power adapter
Place the two P10 displays so that the arrows point north/upward.
Ignore the violet DC barrel module(that is shown on the image), it is not required. You can connect the Red wire to the RED screw terminal and Black wire to the Black screw terminal on the Scoreduino module

STEP 2: BUILD CATEGORIES SECTION
You will need these parts:
- 3 x P10-32x16 Outdoor Dot matrix display
- 1 x SCOREDUINO MODULE
- 1 x Bluetooth module
- Power cables
- 2 pieces 16x2 IDC cable- 40cm long
- 5V 6A AC to DC power adapter
Connections:
Place the displays pointing the arrows in upward direction
Connect all the IDC cables. All 3 IDC cables must be at least 40cm long
Connect all the power cables to the displays
Connect the power cable to the screw terminals of SCOREDUINO module
Black wire goes to BLACK screw terminal
Red wire goes to RED screw terminal
Power up the Scoreduino module using 5V 6A OR 5V 8A POWER ADAPTER. You will get this output
STEP 3: BUILD LAPS SECTION
It is exactly same as the categories section
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended to use separate power supplies(5V 6A OR 8A) for the laps and categories displays. This prevents excessive heating of a single power supply and distributes the load more efficiently. By using two power supplies instead of one, the overall load is reduced, minimizing heat buildup and extending the lifespan of the power supplies.
If you still use single power supply, please use a DC barrel splitter, use a power supply that has rating 5V 8A or 5V 10A. This is how you use it.
