Description
The TSA8804 is a 4x100W stereo Bluetooth 5 multipoint audio amplifier board. It features a class-D architecture based on the TDA7498E, delivering a maximum of 100W power output per channel. Each channel can simultaneously and continuously output nominal power. This board can be powered by any DC 14V-36V power supply and is suitable for driving 4Ω or 8Ω passive speakers.
A standout feature of the TSA8804 is its integrated Bluetooth 5.0, allowing multiple TSA8804 boards to pair and work together seamlessly. The board retains pairing information, eliminating the need to re-pair devices after powering on, making it ideal for creating a wireless surround sound system.
The TSA8804 includes an ADAU1701 DSP chip with a default DSP program that users can customize to adjust gain, bass, midrange, and treble. Additionally, it has a debug port for SigmaStudio, enabling further programming with our USBi programmer to access functions like equalization, crossover, bass enhancement, multiband dynamics processing, delay compensation, and more.
When using a single TSA8804, it functions as a typical Bluetooth amplifier board. Simply power the board, double-click the PAIR button to enter pairing mode, and search for "TSA8804" on your phone or PC. No PIN is required; pair the device, and you’re ready to play music.
Pairing Buttons:
- PAIR: Double-click to enter pairing mode.
- TX: Click to switch to transmitter mode.
- RX: Click to switch to receiver mode.
One board works like a normal Bluetooth amplifier
How to Use:
Master Board:
- Power Up: Turn on the TSA8804. The blue LED will blink slowly. (Voice: "Power ON")
- Enter Pairing Mode: Double-click the PAIR button. The blue LED will blink rapidly. (Voice: "Pairing")
- Connect: On your smartphone, find and connect to the new Bluetooth device named "TSA8804". (Voice: "Pairing successful")
- Play Music: You can now play music. If using only one amplifier board, skip the following steps.
- Transmitter Mode: Click the TX button to set the module to transmitter mode. The red LED will turn on. (Voice: "Broadcast mode")
Slave Board:
- Power Up: Turn on another TSA8804. The blue LED will blink slowly.
- Ensure Master Board is Ready: Ensure the master board is working correctly and in transmitter mode. Click the RX button on the slave board to set it to receiver mode. It will automatically search for the master board. The green LED will turn on. (Voice: "Broadcast audio enabled")
- Pair Boards: Double-click the RX button on the slave board and double-click the TX button on the master board. The master board will search for the slave board for 30 seconds. Once connected, both boards will indicate successful pairing. (Voice: "Pairing successful")
- Music Output: The slave board will now output music.
- Add More Slave Boards: To add another slave board, click RX on the new board to enter receiver mode, then double-click RX on the new board and double-click TX on the master module.
- Remove a Slave Board: If a slave board needs to be disconnected, click the TX button on that module.
Note: If you do not hear the voice prompt when clicking TX, switch to RX mode and then click TX again.
Output Bridge Enable Settings:
The TSA8804, built on the TDA7498E, can operate in either stereo mode or mono BTL mode. To enable the output bridge:
- Set the Jumper: Close the jumper to activate the output bridge.
-
Connect Outputs:
- For the first set, connect SPK1+ to SPK2+ and SPK1- to SPK2-.
- Alternatively, for the second set, connect SPK3+ to SPK4+ and SPK3- to SPK4-.
This configuration allows the output to reach 200W.
External Volume Control:
The board features an Ext POT port for connecting external potentiometers (5K~20K) to control the main volume, treble, midrange, and bass. To use this feature, update the DSP program with the external POT configuration. Our POT kit includes:
- ADC0: Main volume
- ADC1: Bass volume
- ADC2: Midrange volume
- ADC3: Treble volume
Specification:
Specifications are typical at +25℃ and powered by 36VDC, unless otherwise noted. Specifications are subject to change without notice.
