Description
The shield has been tested with the following two types of LED matrix modules:
- P6 32x16 LED matrix module- Works with Adafruit library.
- P10 32x16 LED matrix module- Works with 'modified' Adafruit library
Introducing the RGB LED Matrix Shield For Arduino Mega by BuildCircuit.COM, tailored for Arduino Mega. This shield, a modified version of the Arduino UNO shield for LED matrix, now includes an added feature: seamless integration with the HC-06 Bluetooth module. Specifically optimized for compatibility with our P6 and P10 RGB matrix displays.
Why Add the HC-06 Header?
SCOREDUINO (our partner) specializes in designing smartphone-operated digital scoreboards. Thus, the shield is also crafted for constructing digital scoreboards for cricket and football. Additionally, you can utilize this shield for various other Bluetooth-operated display projects.
The shield has been tested with the following two types of LED matrix modules:
- P6 32x16 LED matrix module- Works with Adafruit library.
- P10 32x16 LED matrix module- Works with 'modified' Adafruit library
If you are using modified Adafruit library, you need to delete the original adafruit library.
Note: You need to add an extra parameter to the RGBmatrixPanel
call to support multiple panels.
For example: RGBmatrixPanel matrix(A, B, C, CLK, LAT, OE, false, 1);
In this example, 1
specifies the number of panels. The false
parameter disables double buffering. Double buffering reduces flickering but uses twice the amount of memory. If you have plenty of memory and want flicker-free smooth animation, set this parameter to true
.
