Description
The Arduino Nano is a compact, breadboard-friendly microcontroller based on the ATmega328. It features an integrated USB interface and provides the same functionality as the Arduino Diecimila/Duemilanove, with additional analog input pins and an onboard +5V AREF jumper.
Unlike other Arduino boards, the Nano does not have a power jack. However, it can automatically detect and switch to the highest available power source, eliminating the need for a power selection jumper.
Communication & USB Interface
- The ATmega328 supports UART TTL (5V) serial communication via digital pins 0 (RX) and 1 (TX).
- A CH340G chip (instead of FTDI FT232RL) manages USB-to-serial communication.
- CH340G drivers (included with the Arduino software) create a virtual COM port for easy communication with a computer.
- The Arduino IDE Serial Monitor allows users to send and receive textual data.

LED Indicators:
- RX (Green) & TX (Red) LEDs blink when data is transmitted via USB.
- L (Orange) LED for basic output/debugging.
